The amazing toddler is the recipient of a fabulous hand-me-down mint condition Schwinn Tiger Bike. He took to it immediately and has figured out how to apply brakes and how to pedal forward, although turning, steering, and starting to pedal still present challenges.
Tonight we bought him a helmet, as we have established a rule of "No helmet, no bike outside." Now we just have to convince him that the helmet is not terrifying (he set up quite a wail as soon as the store clerk set the helmet - in tiger colors, mind you -- onto his little head). Tomorrow, we'll try biking outside. The living room rug and kitchen cabinets will be happy to see the last of the Tiger Bike, I'm sure.
